I have a new book, Rethinking Acrylic, by one of my artist heroines, Patty Brady. She works for Golden Acrylics as a teacher, and has created amazing ways to use acrylic paint. I have been getting a little bit bored with what I am doing, so I will be doing more works on paper, collages, and acrylics here. I do not intend to abandon my still lifes, just vary my artistic endeavors a bit. Here is the completed large sunflower still life I started a few days back, and Birdy. I made Birdy this morning, and while I painted I got some sad news. I think of the bird as a hopeful image about life going on and on. Have a happy day! MEK To bid on Birdy use this link.
